NOVALOGIC TO RELEASE DELTA FORCE: XTREME 2 GAME

Sequel to Best-Selling Delta Force: Xtreme PC Game

Set to Raise the Bar for Multiplayer Gaming

Agoura Hills, CA, April 16, 2009 – Prepare to re-enlist with the world’s most deadly fighting force in NovaLogic Inc.’s Delta Force: Xtreme 2 (DFX2) game for the PC. Following its successful predecessor, Delta Force: Xtreme, DFX2 is set to deploy nationwide for furious multiplayer action, May 20, 2009 at a breakout price of just $29.99 (MSRP).

Delta Force: Xtreme 2 is set to offer intense military gameplay in stunning 1080p “Full HD” and Dolby 7.1 Surround sound. With game servers placed strategically around the world, NovaWorld Community, NovaLogic’s fourth-generation multiplayer network, will provide smoother, faster and seamless gameplay for up to 150* players per game.  Over 20 content-rich multiplayer maps will feature five of the most popular game types: Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Team King of the Hill, Capture the Flag, and Flagball. The maps range from large, vehicle heavy battlefields to small, intense engagement zones, offering combat to suit all preferences.

Every element of the gameplay, from the enhanced ballistics to the innovative in-vehicle spawn system, is carefully coordinated to support a fully balanced experience where teamwork is deadlier than individual firepower. Whether directing the massive firepower of an Apache helicopter between the pilot and gunner or distracting the powerful main cannon of the T80 tank so that teammates on foot can detonate explosive charges, DFX2 rewards intelligence and creativity as much as fast-twitch reflexes. Outside of the action, NovaWorld Community offers a wide range of services including user-based gaming options, persistent statistics, and personal, squad and game customization*.

In addition to the feature-loaded multiplayer experience, gamers of all skill levels can mix it up in 2 heart-pounding single-player or co-operative campaigns built around an engaging storyline. The game will also ship with the powerful MED level editor, which will allow gamers full utilization of game assets to create their own levels, including additional multiplayer game types.

  1. COOL- the same guns, textures, objects, and vechiles I bought 5 years ago under the name "Joint Operations!" It could've been a game I still play to this day if you all had made some changes and not treated your modding community like it was full of degenerates.

Why don't you guys ever check the Novaworld forums? Why not post and tell people what's going on? You don't answer questions, your games are full of cheaters, and you abandon virtually all support of your games within 2 weeks of releasing them - although there is that one time you took a full year to patch Joint Operations!

I've seen the coming and going of several community managers - the last of which said he'd come by often - and no one ever did. You really don't care about your customers, do you? Valve, EA, Infinity Ward, and Treyarch all update THEIR games to keep out cheaters, and Valve and EA give out *free* maps and new weapons to their community over a year of their games' release dates.

Yet, Novalogic makes us pay $30 to go buy DFX2 - a game with an anti-cheat system that will apparently stop the cheaters (just like Punkbuster was going to?), some new maps the community could've made in a week, and a couple of "new" textures done by community modders years ago.

So much for "New Logic..." That is what your company is named after, isn't it? You can't keep up with the new ideas of your competition, and so you have to release bargain-priced $30 games instead.

Your games are so close to being great, but they instead fall under the pile of mediocrity - the same pile that recent shooters like Legendary: The Box, TimeShift, and Medal of Honor: Airborne can all be placed into.

Please, pay attention to the community. Show up on Novaworld once in a while, not just start a topic and leave for months. Tell us what you've been doing the past 5 years other than making a game engine for Angel Falls and creating DFX2, a game that couldn't have taken more than a month for a few full-time employees to make.

I've been a customer since 1999 - a full decade - and I'm irate with the manner in which Novalogic has handled community matters (releasing mod tools to JO modders years after the game is released, not dealing with cheaters, abandoning your games, not effectively communicating with your customers and loyal community members). I was once an astute advocate for you all, but you've pushed my buttons far too many times.
